Job Description

SUMMARY: The commissary associate is responsible for assisting with receiving, accounting for and delivering of food and other products and shipping and receiving. An associate is responsible for assisting with a monthly inventory. Constant hands-on attention must be given to the delivery of Food and Beverage outlets

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. 

  • Receives incoming products and materials – primarily perishable and non-perishable food products.
  • Requires inspection of incoming products/packages to confirm and reconcile paperwork with order.
  • Notifies and/or delivers products to all food/merchandise outlets.
  • Assists in loading products to correct area (i.e., freezer, etc.) in a timely manner, so products don’t spoil.
  • Cleans and organizes inventory areas, as needed.
  • Assists with monthly inventory, as needed.
  • Ability to communicate well and interact with “customers” at all levels.
  • This position requires regular and predictable attendance.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Level 1

No prior experience or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Level 3

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Level 2

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Level 2

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • All required in house F&B classes and training

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires good negotiation and listening skills.
  • Ability to act independently with little supervision.
  • Requires a good understanding of company policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
