Job Description

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembly Technician II (1st Shift). 

he rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm.

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

The Assembly Technician II supports daily production objectives with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. This role assembles Low Voltage Assemblies and performs advanced assembly functions, including Assembler I (Flex and Lean) responsibilities. Duties include equipment operation, electrical testing, quality inspections, labeling, and material transactions in AS400.

  • Assemble, adjust, and repair Low Voltage Assemblies using fixtures, gauges, hand tools, and power tools per drawings and specifications
  • Operate assembly equipment and perform electrical testing, including PowerWave2 hi‑pot testing; QEW certification may be required or obtained
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, standard operating procedures, and method sheets
  • Perform visual inspections and quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Apply identification labels, complete documentation, and perform material transactions in AS400
  • Retrieve, stage, and transport materials and prepare completed assemblies for shipment or storage
  • Perform layout, drilling, cutting, fastening, caulking, and painting tasks as required
  • Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and WSRA requirements, and flex to other areas as needed to support production

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • 6 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • 6 months of experience using hand and air tools
