Description



 This full-time, on-site position is located in Elmira and presents a unique opportunity for entry-level professionals to join a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional patient care in the medical practice industry.



As an Orthopedic Surgeon a, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with musculoskeletal conditions. You will have the chance to work with experienced professionals and participate in a range of surgical procedures, contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community. 



Responsibilities



  • Diagnose and treat patients with orthopedic conditions
  • Perform surgical procedures as required
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Participate in patient consultations and follow-up care
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in orthopedic practices
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment options and recovery
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and best practices


Requirements



  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of residency in orthopedic surgery
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment


Schedule: 2.5-3 days of clinic and 1.5-2 days of OR per week



1:5 general and hand call rotation



Case Mix: Hand and general orthopedic cases



Support Staff: APPs for call



Team Structure: 4 orthopedic surgeons, 1 plastic hand surgeon, and 2 podiatrists



Must be board-certified or board-eligible



Compensation & Benefits:



$693,327 base salary



$50K sign-on bonus
