Job Description

Pay Range: $19.00-$21.00 (Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position)
Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm (no weekends or on-call)

GENERAL SCOPE: To maintain the building systems and equipment in good working order and complete repairs accurately and completely.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: High school or equivalent and/or trade school.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Complete various building repairs in a workman like manner and produce quality results.
  • Clean and vacuums Common Areas on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Empty trash from trash room to the dumpster on a regular basis.
  • Pick up litter around the building and grounds.
  • Change light bulbs, switches, plugs, cords and make other minor electrical repairs.
  • Repair sinks, toilets, showers, and make other minor plumbing related repairs.
  • Perform routine building maintenance, preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance repairs as assigned.
  • Assist with snow removal as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Complete all required paperwork and records for the department.
  • Follow all facility, departmental and other rules, regulations and policies and procedures.
  • Work with tradesmen, other mechanics or other staff as assigned.
  • Carry a two-way radio or cell phone and responds to service requests and emergencies.
  • Perform weekly and monthly testing of the emergency power generator and document the results.
  • Perform weekly and monthly inspections on the above ground fuel storage tank and document the results. 
  • Trained in OSHA Lock Out/Tag Out safety procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 year of experience in maintenance related work preferred
