Qualifications

You are responsible for correctly sorting soiled linen from a conveyor belt and placing it into the appropriate sling or cart. You must meet production and quality standards, follow all company safety rules and procedures, and maintain a positive attitude. You should be able to stand for up to 10 hours, have sufficient manual dexterity, and be able to perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling.

Job Description

PURPOSE:  To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.  

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for the correct sorting of linen that has been placed on a moving conveyor belt in front of them. Picks up soil linen and places it in the corresponding sling/cart. Follows standard operating procedures. Must meet quality and production standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Be on time
  • Have excellent attendance
  • Meet established production standards 
  • Follow all company safety rules 
  • Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
  • Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor
  • Follow all company policies and procedures 
  • Possess and maintain a positive attitude
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
  • Be able to work past the schedule, as production issues may arise
  • Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Cross-train on other routes per production needs  

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Be able to stand on feet up to 10 hours a day
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to sort linen
  • Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting and pulling
