Job Description

Duties:

Clinical Support

  • Prepare patients for examination, including rooming, and documenting chief complaints, intake.
  • Assist the provider during examinations and procedures as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation support within the EMR (e.g., eDerm).
  • Maintain clean and organized treatment areas at each facility.
  • Assist with specimen handling and proper labeling per protocol.
  • Support patient education as directed by the provider.

Patient Intake & Documentation

  • Complete patient intake, including verification of demographics, insurance (if applicable), medical history, medications, and allergies.
  • Accurately document patient information, visit notes, and updates in the EMR in real-time or as directed.
  • Assist the provider with additional charting, including entering visit details, procedures, and follow-up instructions.
  • Ensure charts are complete, accurate, and ready for provider review and sign-off.
  • Maintain compliance with documentation standards and clinical protocols.

Patient Flow & Coordination

  • Gather and escort patients from facility staff or waiting areas when needed.
  • Coordinate with facility staff to ensure patients are ready and available for scheduled visits.
  • Assist in managing patient flow to maintain provider efficiency.
  • Communicate any delays, no-shows, or scheduling issues to the appropriate team.

Mobile & Travel Responsibilities

  • Travel with the provider to multiple facilities in a single day, as scheduled.
  • Assist with loading, transporting, and setting up clinical supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure all necessary materials are available for each location.
  • Maintain professionalism and represent the organization positively at all facilities.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with verifying patient information and documentation completeness.
  • Support coordination of follow-up care instructions as directed.

Communicate with internal teams (PCCs, CRCs, Account Managers) regarding patient or scheduling needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in dermatology or outpatient care.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel between multiple facilities daily.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR); experience with dermatology systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Additional Information

Job Type:

  • Full-time, Mobile – will travel to several facilities each day
  • Mon - Friday - 8:30am - 4:30pm

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in dermatology or outpatient care. (Required)

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred (CMA/RMA).
  • Compensation: from USD 20.00 - hourly
