Job Description: 

We are seeking a full-time detail-oriented Aerospace Production Operative to join our dynamic manufacturing and repair team. The successful candidate will work with a variety of materials, including foam, fabric, leather, plastics and composites, to produce high-quality aircraft interior components according to technical drawings and specifications. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, specifications, and production orders to manufacture aircraft interior      components.
  • Operate and maintain production machinery and tools used for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
  • Cut and assemble materials including foam, fabric, leather, and composites with precision.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Assist in the identification of process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of production processes, materials used and completed work.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferable, but full training will be provided.
  • Organized and Detail Oriented.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and production machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Prior experience working with sewing machines, patterning, general upholstery are a plus for consideration. 
  • Prior experience in commercial upholstery in aircraft, marine or automotive (preferred).
  • Sewing and fabric finishing skills; single, double stitch and serging are a plus!

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly non-exempt range $20 - $30 per hour DOE.

Physical and other Requirements:

  • Lift fabrics & component pieces weighing up to 10 – 70 lbs. if needed.

The Production Department is split into core competencies including cut and sew, trim shop, metal fabrication area and composite workshop. The Production Department benefits from the integrated computer business system, linking the Design Department CAD to the CNC machine shop. Following on from the previously mentioned accreditations, Percival Aviation is also an EASA Part 145 Maintenance Organisation. The company supplies a comprehensive service in the repair, overhaul and servicing for aircraft interior parts and seating. This work is undertaken on both a planned and unscheduled maintenance basis.
