Job Duties

  • May remove and replace defective and standard components on Crown lift trucks in an assembly line/manufacturing environment.
  • May set-up, adjust and operate machinery to form, rework, and straighten parts to print specifications.
  • May assemble any and all lift truck components per specifications.
  • May perform pre and post check on parts.
  • May inspect parts per print specifications.
  • May do maintenance tasks involving concrete work, welding, cutting, plumbing, construction, heavy moving, painting, cleaning floors, etc.
  • Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards as well as Crown’s safety rules and regulations for each task performed.  To prevent the risk of injury, report unsafe conditions and do not perform unsafe acts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Enrollment in a vocational program is required.
  • Must have computer data input skills, excellent people skills, and demonstrated mechanical abilities.
  • Understand basic math including fraction and decimals.
  • Must be able to:
    • Per 8 hr. shift (stand 5 hrs., walk 2 hrs., sit 1 hr.), frequently (bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance, push/pull).
    • Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 40 lbs., occasionally from 40 to 100 lbs.)
    • Hear, see, have good binocular vision, distinguish colors, do simple and firm grasping with both hands, use feet to operate foot pedals.
    • Work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to chemicals, bright lights, plant electrical voltages, solvents, and oil.
    • Safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.
