Job Summary:

The Summer Grounds Maintenance Intern supports the maintenance team with general upkeep, cleaning, and light repair tasks across the property. This is a hands-on, seasonal role designed to provide exposure to facilities maintenance, equipment operation, and safe work practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs under supervision 
• Support general building and facility maintenance tasks 
• Help with pressure washing and cleaning of ceilings, pillars, walls, and other surfaces 
• Clean and maintain travel ways using equipment such as sweepers and scrubbers 
• Pick up debris and trash to help keep grounds clean and safe 
• Perform routine grounds care, including mowing, trimming, and general landscaping tasks
• Assist with upkeep of fence lines, parking areas, and other property spaces  
• Follow all safety procedures and report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors

Skills/Abilities:

• Willingness to learn and take direction in a hands-on environment 
• Strong attention to safety and detail 
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team 
• Basic mechanical interest or aptitude is a plus 
• Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions 
• Willingness to learn to operate equipment such as lifts, scrubbers, and pressure washers (training provided) 

Education and Experience:

• Required: Valid Driver’s License
• No prior experience is required but it is a plus

Physical and/or Travel Requirements:

• Periodic lifting of up to 50 pounds
• The ability to bend, stop, and stand for extended periods of time
