Duties and Responsibilities: Public Service Student Assistant is responsible for assisting in the operation of the Public Service desk and is the front face of the library. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Answer basic question for individuals visiting the library • Assist with printing needs • Keep study rooms, common and public area neat •Assist with opening and closing procedures •Become familiar with the library webpage, catalog, and online resources • Become familiar with Library of Congress Classifications sequencing order • other duties as assigned 

Qualification and requirements:  Student assistant should possess excellent public service skills and good communication and telephone skills, as well as a moderate level of keyboard competency. Must be available to work Mondays and Wednesdays between the hours of 8am and 5pm and occasional weekends. Student must pay attention to details and able to work independently.
