Ministry Description:  This person serves the body of Christ at FAC by… coming alongside the Youth and Prayer ministry leaders and participating in teaching, brainstorming, coordinating, programming and executing events while learning the ins and outs of High School and Prayer ministry.

Ministry Duties:

Youth

• The intern serves the church's high school community, overseeing a ministry of approximately 60 students.

Key Responsibilities

• Preach / Teach up to 10 times to High School during the summer.
• Learn how to budget, plan a calendar, and other administrative responsibilities
• Provide leadership at events and youth services
• Help facilitate a worship environment on Sunday mornings with the Youth. 
• Key Deliverables:
  •  Ensure the youth group is connected through events and face time throughout the summer
  • Ensure the youth group is fed spiritually through messages and prayer 
  • Get to know students as much as possible (given the time frame) with one-on-ones
  • Attend Staff meetings weekly throughout the internship

Prayer

The intern serves the prayer ministry leader in all capacities related to congregational gatherings, volunteers and programming. 

Key Responsibilities

• Shadow the prayer team communication and scheduling.
• Vetting new prayer team members and preparing them to serve.
• Developing 24 Hour Prayer monthly.
• Commitment to Summer Prayer Worship Nights.
• Helping host space for congregational gathering of prayer.
• Presenting new ideas for our prayer ministry and monetizing new initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in staff meetings, planning processes, and church-wide initiatives
• Represent the church's vision and culture across all areas of ministry oversight

Staff Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for FAC vision, mission, and values
• Embody our Staff Commitments
• Participate in Sunday morning announcements (live and/or recorded)
• Provide Engage and Annual report submissions
• Participate in staff activities (training, outings, celebrations, etc.)
• Contribute to staff spiritual formation with prayer and leading devotions
• Actively participate in safety and security training and efforts

Education and Experience

• Have a reputation for strong character traits such as integrity, humility, self-motivation, and commitment
• Pass a background check

Hours:  15 hours per week/Sunday is a work day
