The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a High School Engineering Intern for Summer 2026! You will provide engineering support while mentoring with a senior engineer. This
role involves assisting with various projects, gaining hands on experience, and contributing to the development and improvement of engineering processes and products.


Responsibilities:


Project Assistance:

o Collaborate with engineering teams on ongoing projects.

o Assist in the design, development, and testing of engineering prototypes and systems.

o Contribute to research and development efforts, including literature reviews and data analysis.

Technical Support:

o Provide support in the preparation of technical documents, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.

o Assist in the creation and maintenance of engineering drawings and schematics using CAD software.

o Help conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new projects.

Laboratory and Field Work:

o Participate in laboratory experiments and field tests to gather data and validate designs.

o Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.

o Collect and analyze test data to support project goals.

Documentation and Reporting:

o Prepare detailed reports on project progress, findings, and recommendations.

o Maintain accurate records of experimental data and project documentation.

• Professional Development:

o Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

o Engage in mentorship programs with senior engineers to gain insights into industry practices and career development.

• Team Collaboration:

o Work effectively within a team environment, contributing ideas and solutions to project challenges.

o Communicate progress and findings to team members and stakeholders through regular meetings and presentations


Qualifications:

Required: 

Special Skills and Requirements:

- Must be a high school student  with interest in pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Aerospace, etc.) or a related field.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.

- Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Prior internship experience or relevant coursework is a plus.

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
