Job DetailsJob Location: Philadelphia, PA 19148Position Type: InternshipSalary Range: $15.00 - $15.00 HourlyPosition Summary: Philabundance provides food to thousands of people each week through a network of over 350 Agency Partners – food pantries, cupboards, and emergency kitchens – over a nine-county service area in southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. Our mission is to drive hunger from our communities today and to end hunger for good, and we believe policy and advocacy are powerful tools in the fight against hunger.    The Human Resources Intern supports the Human Resources department at Philabundance by assisting with administrative, recruitment, onboarding, and people operations activities. This role provides hands-on experience in nonprofit human resources practices while supporting initiatives that promote an inclusive, compliant, and mission-driven workplace. Support onboarding activities such as new hire paperwork, orientation preparation, and HRIS data entry. Help maintain accuracy and organization of employee records in compliance with policies and regulations. Talent Acquisition Support Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting open positions, scheduling interviews, and preparing candidate communications. Support job fair or recruiting event preparation as needed. Assist with tracking applicants and recruitment metrics. HR Projects & Employee Support Provide support on HR projects related to employee engagement, training, or workplace initiatives. Assist with internal communications related to HR programs, policies, or events. Conduct research on HR best practices, compliance topics, or peer nonprofit organizations as assigned. Administrative & Team Support Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team. Assist with preparing reports, presentations, or training materials. Perform additional duties assigned in support of Philabundance’s mission and people strategy.   QualificationsQualifications and Experience: Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Management, or a related field preferred. Interest in human resources, nonprofit operations, or organizational development. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
