Raith is seeking a motivated Applications Engineer to support sales projects in electron beam lithography. This position will be based at Raith’s Customer Experience Center in Troy, NY.

Your mission

  • Operate advanced electron beam lithography equipment in alignment with customer specifications.
  • Optimize processes utilizing metrology instruments such as Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), confocal microscopes, and other related tools.
  • Apply a variety of electron beam-resists to different substrates using spin coaters.
  • Conduct live demonstrations to effectively showcase equipment capabilities to customers.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed sample reports to clients.
  • Maintain demonstration equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate closely with team members while maintaining significant responsibility within your designated areas.

Your Qualifications

  • PhD or Masters degree in Physics, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, with a strong curiosity and an aptitude for abstract thinking.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with high-tech equipment, ideally acquired during a master’s program from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with lithography equipment, particularly in direct-write electron beam lithography, is highly desirable.
  • Experience with microscopy tools such as SEM, AFM, FIB-SEM, and TEM is a plus.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
  • Capable of working in a yellow room environment, with the potential to work in a clean room setting in the future. 
The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually. The exact compensation will be deteremind based on the candidate’s years of relavent experience and work location. In addition to pay we offer a comrehensive benefits package.
