Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Test Technician Intern performs intermediate-level testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of HVAC and/or electronic control systems to ensure compliance with AAON’s performance and safety standards. This role requires an understanding of HVAC and/or electronic controls and the ability to work independently on moderately complex systems. The technician collaborates with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and improve testing processes.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform functional and performance tests on HVAC systems.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

· Interpret test data and provide feedback to engineering.

· Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

· Maintain accurate test records and documentation.

· Assist in implementing process improvements.

· Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Currently enrolled and working on an Associate’s degree or technical certification in HVAC, electronics, or mechanical systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Strong understanding of HVAC systems and controls.

· Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.

· Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment.

· Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Work Environment:

· Lift up to 50 lbs.

· Sit, stand, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.

· Work in noisy, hot, or cold environments as needed
