Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Assistant Research Scientist.
Responsible for collaborating with Dr. Marlena Habal and her lab. The candidate will be working independently within the scientific framework of the PI's laboratory.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a MS degree in a related discipline and 0-1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in Immunology is preferred. Substantial experience from having completed Post Doc training. Established a record of publications. The ideal candidate should have experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, and immunofluorescence specifically:
Competence in spectral flow cytometry
Cell sorting with high dimensional flow cytometry panels
Single cell culture
Tissue culture
Standard immunological assays including but not limited to ELISA, ELISPOT, mixed lymphocyte reactions, activation assays etc.
Single-cell sequencing (10x Genomics or comparable)
Preferred experience with pre-clinical models (mouse)
Preferred competence in R and basic programming
Experience in data analysis including high dimensional flow cytometry and single-cell analysis
Background experience in B cell biology preferred
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $58,500.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
