Reporting to the Production Manager, the Plant Custodian will execute routine cleaning tasks and support the overall operations of our facility. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming work environment for our staff and visitors.

Essential Job Functions:

· Follow established cleaning protocols to maintain cleanliness of the production facility.

· Use standard cleaning equipment including mops,

· Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

· Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies, demonstrating a proactive approach to facility maintenance.

· Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper handling and disposal of cleaning materials.

· Participate in periodic deep cleaning projects and assist with other custodial tasks as needed.

· Operate commercial power cleaning equipment.

· Maintain cleaning supply inventory.

Skills and Abilities

· Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

· Proficient in using standard cleaning equipment and tools.

· Experience using power commercial cleaning equipment such as floor machines/buffers, air movers, and floor sweepers.

· Ability to work overtime.

· Positive attitude and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

· Strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.

• Previous commercial custodian or institutional cleaning experience preferred.

Work Environment

The essential functions of this job require working within a production facility with exposure to various noise levels from machinery and equipment.

Physical Demands

This is an active role as the employee will work in a manufacturing environment. While performing the essential functions of the job the employee will be required to stand, balance or walk on a consistent basis during an 8-hour shift and may on a frequent basis be required to twist, turn, stoop, squat, kneel, bend or reach. The employee must use safe lifting techniques when lifting objects up to 50 pounds and carry out repetitive hand/wrist movements to include forearm rotation. Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to listen and speak and use their hands to operate equipment.

Work Schedule

Our facility operates 24/7. This position would work 7am to 3pm EST, Monday-Friday with some occasional overtime.
