Job Description

The Pharmacy Practice Residency is a one-year post-graduate residency program in an institutional practice setting that provides training as set forth and approved by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP). The program will provide the opportunity to advance the resident's pharmacy practice beyond entry-level professional competence and develop the skills, knowledge, and attitude necessary for the provision of high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Graduated from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Upon hire: Washington Pharmacist Intern Registration, or
  • Upon hire: Washington Pharmacist License 
  • Within 120 days of hire, or as outlined by program policies, whichever is sooner: Washington Pharmacist License 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PharmD
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy practices as a student, intern or pharmacist.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Demonstrated drug knowledge, IV knowledge, and compounding ability

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
