POSITION SUMMARY:

Directs, supervises, and coordinates clinical nutritional activities. Follows standards of practice, complying with regulatory requirements.

Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on his or her assigned department/unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the physiological, psychosocial, and emotional needs of the patient as related to age, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements, and to provide the care needed as described within ECRMC’s policies and procedure.

  • Registered Dietitian in accordance with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) OR Candidate has completed the Supervised Practice Program (SPP) for Registered Dietitian (RD), AND NOT MORE THAN SIX (6) MONTHS have passed since completion of SSP, AND candidate has not previously failed the examination, AND candidate must become a RD within six (6) months from completing SPP to comply with California Law (code section 2586
  • Bachelor’s Degree with major in dietetics, foods, nutrition, or food service administration.
  • Broad knowledge of modified nutrition in areas including but not limited to diabetic, renal, hepatic, TPN, pediatric and internal feedings.
  • Health Card/California Food Handler Card
