Silas Creek Rehabilitation Center is excited to welcome a new Director of Nursing focused on strengthening teamwork, improving communication, supporting staff, and creating a more positive clinical culture for both Residents and employees.

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who want to be part of a supportive team dedicated to providing exceptional Resident care.

The CNA provides direct care and support to Residents while assisting the nursing team in delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a skilled nursing and long-term care environment.

CNA Responsibilities

  • Assist Residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations as requested
  • Observe and report changes in Resident condition to nursing staff
  • Remind Residents to take medications and nutritional supplements as directed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Resident charts
  • Support a safe, clean, and positive environment for Residents and team members
  • Provide compassionate, respectful, and resident-centered care

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant Program required
  • Clear and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of North Carolina required
  • Long-term care experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Compassionate and dependable work ethic

Qualifications

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS* Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, or related experience and / or training. * Successful completion of State-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTShift work may be required. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, lift and or transfer residents weighing between 100 and 250 pounds, see, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, talk and hear. Employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. May be required to work beyond their regular scheduled shift. In compliance with applicable law, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

OTHER REQUIREMENTSParticipates in (or conducts) company-sponsored training to safeguard against improper use and disclosure of resident's protected health information. Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and state and federal law.
