Overview

ANNUAL SALARY (DEPENDING ON SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): $145,000.00 - $175,000.00

Epic Care is seeking a Certified APP (NP or PA) to work full-time alongside our dedicated team of health care professionals in our medical oncology service line. Oncology experience is preferred but not necessary, we are willing to train motivated individuals as an oncology nurse practitioner. Medical Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin language skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide hematology & medical oncology specialty patient care in inpatient and outpatient care settings.
  • Perform physical exams and patient observations.
  • Record patient medical histories and symptoms.
  • Create patient care plans and contribute to existing plans.
  • Order, administer and analyze diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose health issues.
  • Detect changes in a patient’s health and change treatment plans as necessary.
  • Administer medicines and treatments.
  • Evaluate responses to treatments and medications.
  • Consult with healthcare professionals, participate in tumor boards.
  • Train patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • Oncology experience is preferred but not required. Appropriate degree from an accredited program.
  • Must have an active NP and PA licensure in the state of California.
  • Must have prescriptive authorization, active DEA license.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese or other language is preferred.
  • Must be proficient with medical instruments and equipment required by the work.
  • Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as electronic medical records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, physicians and representatives of the community.
  • Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
