About the Opportunity: 

The Staff Accountant is responsible for AR, AP processing, data entry and invoicing.   The position also reviews and verifies AR information, resolves any discrepancies and performs other tasks to ensure that payments are collected in a timely manner.  

 What You'll Do: 

  • Payment processing, AR account analysis and payment processing 
  • Calculates monthly sales commissions and posts general entries 
  • Generate and issue customer invoices 
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on past due accounts 
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries 
  • Conducts expense variance analysis and provides cost savings advice to management 
  • Assists in timely and accurate month end and year end closing 
  • Projects monthly financial statements and other required reports under strict deadlines 
  • Performs other duties as needed

 Education and Experience: 

  • Recent BA or BS in Accounting or business understanding of accounting 
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred (Sage 100 a plus) 

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 1st Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm
  • Overtime as required

Job Type:

California Pay Range$65,000—$75,000 USD

The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
