FOOD PREP ASSOCIATE JOB SUMMARY

The Club is located alongside various shops and restaurants. It is a fast-paced, fun work environment that is growing in style and amenities.

The Club is looking for Full-Time Food Prep Associates. Weekend availability is required. Shifts are subject to change, based on business needs.

FOOD PREP ASSOCIATE JOB DESCRIPTION

The description below is designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by team members within this classification. It is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications, which may be required of team members assigned to this job classification.
The work of the Food Prep Associate includes: Preparing the food for the Lounge and keeping a clean and healthy environment for our customers. He or she is responsible for standard food service work including sanitation duties, and various serving responsibilities. Must have the knowledge of proper food handling procedures and government regulations regarding the food code. The duties of a Food Prep Associate include but are not limited to:

  • Cleans and portions, and cuts or peels various foods to prepare for cooking or serving
  • Prepares variety of foods according to customers' orders or instructions of superior, following approved procedures.
  • Portions and arranges food on serving dishes, trays, carts, or conveyor belts.
  • Cleans, cuts, slices, or disjoints meats and poultry to prepare for cooking.
  • Prepares and serves variety of beverages, such as coffee, tea, and soft drinks.
  • Carries food supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from storage and work areas.
  • Stores food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
  • Sets up and restocks buffet area
  • Cleans and maintains work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Requisitions, stores, and distributes food supplies, equipment, and utensils.
  • Date and label prepared food
  • Completes food safety logs
  • Wash dishes

FOOD PREP ASSOCIATE JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ability to successfully pass airport authority security background check. High school diploma or GED is preferred. Related background in customer service or restaurant/bar service. Must be at least 18 or 21 years of age as applicable by law. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and possess verbal communication skills necessary to communicate with customers, passengers, and co-workers. Able to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

FOOD PREP ASSOCIATE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Must be able to perform the following essential duties complying with company standards:
  • Ability to cooperate with peers, customers, and supervisors of diverse nature who may hold divergent views
  • Pass and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications including, but not limited to, local health department food handler certification
  • Must be able to stand during entire scheduled shift.
  • Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced work shift up to ten (10) hours
  • Ability to read and interpret basic documents, and comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group settings to passengers, customers and other team members of the Company
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers
  • Ability to make change when making a cash transaction on Point-of-Sale machine
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to bend, climb up/down, crouch, hear, kneel, reach, speak, stand, turn, twist, walk
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds, 40 inches high without the aid of another person
  • Must be able to push and/or pull 120 pounds with the assistance of a wheeled cart
  • Ability to perform tasks safely and according to established procedures to prevent personal injury, injury to others and avoid damage to the environment, facilities, and equipment
  • Ability to follow all lawful safety, health and liquor rules and regulations
  • Personal appearance and grooming that will present a favorable corporate and customer image
  • Must be able to pass and obtain security background check and clearance to work in airport environment
  • Report to work on a regular and timely basis
