Position Summary: 

A Medical Assistant carries out a range of clinical and administrative duties in an outpatient examination room while supervised by a physician. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Taking patient's vital signs and inputting patient information into our ERM system
  • Preparing patients for any necessary examination
  • Cleaning and disinfecting treatment spaces
  • Complying with LMC's infection control policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy Certifications obtained from an accredited provider.
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required in order to communicate effectively with our patient population.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, or in additional areas of patient health care in a clinical setting.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
