Job Description
UPMC is seeking Echo Technologists to support the Echo Departments in Central Pennsylvania.
Location: Opportunity to gain experience in Outpatient and Hospital settings on our Central PA region
Schedule: Day Shift Rotating Weekends, Holidays, and On-Call required
FTE: Full Time or Part Time

Start strong: We are currently offering generous Sign-On Bonus Options for eligible new hires:
§ $15,000 with a 2-year work commitment
§ $30,000 with a 3-year work commitment
Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary from the career ladder, based on their individual experience and education
The salary for this position is between $39.24-$51.73/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform Diagnostic Echocardiographic Evaluations: Including Complete Echocardiographic studies, Enhancement (Definity) Studies, Bubble Echo Studies, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo studies.
· Prepare Testing Procedures: Document measurements and findings, present written orders, and log appropriate information.
· Data Management: Accurately enter and review patient demographics and information.
· Equipment Maintenance: Clean and stock machines daily, and alert personnel of needed repairs and supplies.
· Billing: Complete billing for all Echo procedures using the Hospital’s eRecord system by the end of your shift.
What We’re Looking For:
· Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in all procedures and documentation.
Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
RDCS or RDMS registered or registry eligible preferred. Completion of Physics portion of registry preferred. Must obtain RDCS or RDMS within 12 months of hire date.
