At GATE Hospitality Group, we are committed to developing future leaders in luxury hospitality. Our J-1 Internship Program offers a dynamic, hands-on experience designed for individuals passionate about Food & Beverage and Culinary Arts within a Forbes-level service environment.
This 12-month immersive program provides international interns with the opportunity to gain real-world experience, develop professional skills, and learn from industry leaders across our award-winning properties.
12-month placement in Food & Beverage or Culinary operations
Hands-on experience in frontline roles, gaining exposure to luxury service standards
Rotational job shadowing within F&B outlets or culinary disciplines
Completion of a capstone project, presented to the property leadership team
Access to on-the-job and self-paced training, including our extensive learning library
Opportunities to network with peers and leaders across GATE Hospitality
Real-world experience in luxury hospitality operations
Exposure to Forbes Five-Star service standards
Experience creating and presenting projects to senior leadership
Mentorship from industry leaders and executive teams

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Hospitality, Culinary, or related program
Must be eligible for a J-1 Visa through an approved sponsor
Strong passion for Food & Beverage or Culinary Arts
Advanced written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn
Employee housing may be available at select locations (cost and availability vary)
Interns must maintain valid work authorization for the duration of the program
The role requires physical activity including standing, walking, lifting (up to 30 lbs), and performing repetitive tasks
