And we have the confidence and determination to become the most sought-after adhesive solutions partner.   Come join us!   The Role:   We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern who demonstrates strong communication skills and a willingness to learn in a manufacturing environment.   This internship provides hands on exposure to manufacturing engineering, equipment design support, and continuous improvement initiatives.   The intern will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and the Lead Mechanical Engineer to support production, quality improvement, and equipment related projects.    This is an on-site role in Mound House, NV. Only local candidates will be considered.   Key Responsibilities:
  • Create component and assembly models and drawings. 
  • Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and production deviations. 
  • Update operator and parts manual documentation. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Must be willing to travel to APPLIED facilities. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  Physical Requirements:
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Possess mechanical dexterity to perform equipment operation.
  • Frequently moves items weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  Experience and Qualifications:
  • Pursuing Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering required.  
  • Mechanical aptitude. 
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment/engineering internship or co-op is preferred. 
  • Hands on experience using precision metrology tools. 
  • Experience using SolidWorks and Cad is preferred. 
  • Well organized, process and data driven, with the ability to make decisions and act on them.
  • Solid analytical skills and proactive nature with a strong sense of urgency.
