Job Description Summary

This co-op position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial processes, capital improvement projects, and general accounting within a manufacturing environment. The CIP/Finance Co-op will support various financial activities and contribute to the efficient operation of Oxford Forge

Job Description:

* Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Support the tracking and monitoring of capital improvement projects (CIP), including budgeting, expenditure tracking, and project status updates.
* Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
* Conduct data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
* Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and support decision-making.
* Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures.

*Assist and learn from other departments.

 

Required Skills and Education

* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Prior experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
* Demonstrated interest in manufacturing operations and finance.
