Medical Assistant (MA) – Southern Oregon Wellness

Location: Central Point, Oregon


Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team. This role is essential in supporting providers and ensuring a smooth, efficient experience for patients. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about whole-person care.

Key Responsibilities

·        Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints

·        Assist Naturopathic Doctors and FNPs during patient visits and procedures

·        Prepare treatment rooms and maintain cleanliness and organization

·        Administer injections and perform basic clinical procedures (as allowed by scope)

·        Manage patient flow and ensure timely appointments

·        Accurately document in the EMR system

·        Handle lab coordination, specimen collection, and processing

·        Provide excellent patient communication and education

·        Support front desk duties as needed (scheduling, phone calls, check-in/out)

Qualifications

·        Current Medical Assistant certification or relevant experience required

·        CPR/BLS certification preferred

·        Experience in a multidisciplinary or integrative setting is a plus

·        Strong communication and organizational skills

·        Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

·        Familiarity with EMR systems (experience with Envision is a bonus)
