Job Description

The Lehr Quality Control monitors, inspects, and verifies that the production process is meeting pre-determined quality standards and tests and visually inspects products and communicates concerns to their Production and Quality Team members as well as the Shift Team Leader.
Position requires working an 8-hour rotating shift schedule, rotating between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Visually inspects Lehr and resulting products to ensure quality standards are being met.
  • Controls the quality of the ware being produced.
  • Verifies that inspection equipment is functioning properly.
  • Performs hourly routine quality checks.
  • Uses hand gauges to ensure quality standards are being met.
  • Notifies production department of defects in the production process.
  • Controls the quality in the pack ware.
  • Communicates concerns and information to appropriate persons and departments.
  • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.  
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Manufacturing or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to work an 8-hour rotating schedule across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
