Overview

Excelitas Technologies, a leader in photonics and frequency tunable laser solutions, is seeking an intern to support the Electrical Engineering and Laser module teams. This 8‑week, on‑site internship offers hands‑on experience with electronics, optical and mechanical assemblies. An extension may be available based on performance and project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, align, and test opto-mechanical components, fiber-optic sensors, and laser systems and test boxes.
  • Document process steps and test findings
  • Collect, process, and interpret data from experiments to optimize performance
  • Contribute to research reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Optical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering or related fields.
  • Mechanical/electrical skills
  • Ability to solder wires and connectors
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic designs

What You’ll Gain

Compensation:

  • Pay Range: $22hr - $27hr Depending on Experience
