Summary/Job Scope: Cement Operations Technician

Purpose of Position: Responsible for startup, monitoring and basic preventive maintenance and minor repairs of finished grinding mill system. Coordinating truck deliveries, generating shipping documentation and perform shipping reconciliations as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate material front-end loader and skid steer to transfer materials to storage.
  • Maintain general lubrication and oil / filter changes for heavy machinery in work area, recording maintenance efforts / schedules daily.
  • Perform trouble shooting and filter changes to blowers.
  • Comply with plant safety policies, procedures, maintaining safe, organized / tidy work area while reporting accidents and incidents-including unsafe acts and conditions immediately to supervisor.
  • Perform duties to ensure proper appearance and general cleanliness of work area including laboratory equipment when assigned by plant manager or shift lead.
  • Support efficient production operations and be respectful by effective work relationships to adhering to company's human resources policies and plant rules.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Highschool graduate or GED required.
  • Previous work in cement industry or plant preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain TWIC card upon hire.
  • Mandatory overtime when vessels are present-including holidays and weekends if necessary.
  • Experience working on a farm preferred.
  • Industrial machinery experience required-skid steer and front-end loader.
