Qualifications
You have graduated from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and hold a current Connecticut State license. You must maintain certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program.

Job Description
The Respiratory Therapist provides under medical direction, the assessment, treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardio-pulmonary system. The RT performs these functions primarily in critical care areas in addition to other wards. The therapist assumes primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, including assisting in the orientation of new Respiratory Therapist. Initiates and conducts therapeutic procedures, maintain patient records, and selects, assembles, checks, and operates equipment. The RT will be delegated charge responsibilities when a Clinical Coordinator is not on duty.
Schedule: 37.5 hours a week. 12.5-hour shifts. Rotating day and overnight shifts. Option to work nights only.
