Hood Cleaner – Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Systems
Salt Lake City, UT | $23–$26/hour DOE | Full-Time, Mostly Overnight
Looking for dependable, hands-on work with room to grow? State Fire is hiring Hood Cleaners in Salt Lake City. We offer paid training, excellent benefits, and a stable, long-term opportunity for individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and ready to learn.
Commercial kitchen exhaust systems collect flammable grease and must be cleaned regularly to stay compliant with fire code. As a Hood Cleaner, you’ll help protect lives and property by thoroughly cleaning these systems using degreasers, pressurized water, and proper safety procedures.

Physical Requirements:
· Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch or stoop for prolonged periods.
· Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
· Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and stairs.
· Ability to move about in areas with limited space and difficult access.
· Ability to safely lift, transport and place objects up to 70 pounds, without assistance.
· Ability to work both indoors and outdoors

Most jobs are in the Salt Lake area. Some jobs require travel and occasional overnight hotel stays (covered by the company).
