If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Detail Specialist to join our team. At Colwell Motors of Mason City, we work hard to keep our customers happy by providing exceptional vehicle care. Our Automotive Detail Specialists play a crucial role in customer satisfaction by returning vehicles washed, touched-up, and in better condition than when they arrived.

As a Detail Specialist, you will be responsible for making vehicles look clean and polished both inside and out by using a variety of cleaning products and equipment. As a professional, it is crucial that you have an eye for cleanliness and strong attention to detail. Hours for this full-time position are Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., with flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough interior and exterior cleaning, polishing, and detailing of vehicles 
• Clean, shampoo, and vacuum upholstery, carpets, and interior surfaces 
• Apply cleaning agents, waxes, and polishes to achieve a high-quality finish 
• Remove debris, stains, and imperfections using proper tools and techniques 
• Maintain an organized and efficient workflow 
• Inspect vehicles for defects or areas needing special attention 
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent quality and customer satisfaction 
• Stay current on detailing techniques, products, and industry trends 

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an automotive detailer or similar role preferred 
• Knowledge of detailing products, equipment, and techniques 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Effective time management skills 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
