Purpose:

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is currently hiring for a regular Full-Time CT Technologist to support the UPMC Pinnacle Radiation Oncology network sites located in Mechanicsburg and Carlisle, PA. This position will work regular full-time Monday through Friday daylight schedule floating between locations as needed.

The incumbent performs imaging procedures at a technical level and completes a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
Responsibilities:
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required or certified by a CNMT program. ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT registry within 6 months of hire date. CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained. CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date. All CT Technologist working in NY facilities performing contrast media injection are required to have received certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and be Licensed through the New York State Department of Health. CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. If practicing under a temporary permit: cannot administer IV contrast or participate in contrast-enhanced CT requiring IV administration duties, must be under direct supervision of licensed radiologic technologist, must obtain ARRT certification within 180 days of permit issue date. Temporary permits expire 180 days from date of issuance, or upon notice that license application denied, or ten days after notification of failure of licensing exam, whichever occurs first.
