Job Description

Description

The Electrical Assistant Estimator supports the estimating team in preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, assisting in bid preparation, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Major Duties:

· Assist in reviewing project plans and specifications to identify scope and requirements.

· Gather and organize data for cost estimation, including material, labor, and overhead costs.

· Help prepare detailed estimates and proposals for electrical projects under the guidance of senior estimators.

· Assist in conducting site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information.

· Maintain an organized database of past projects and cost estimates for reference.

· Collaborate with team members to develop accurate take-offs and quantity surveys.

· Support the preparation of bid documents and presentations for clients.

Requirements

· Willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.

· Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

· Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; related field experience preferred.

· Previous experience in estimating or the electrical field is a plus.

· Must possess strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Reliable transportation is required.

· Must obtain minimum of 6 months, using any type of bidding software.

· Must be able to work a minimum of 40- hours a week in office. 

· Must be able to perform job walks and collect job requirement details for proper bids. 

· Must be able to communicate with other trades clearly.
