Job Description

TFed is looking for a seasonal Branch Service Representative to assist in the summer months.  If you are looking to gain experience in banking, this is the opportunity for you!

Role:  Branch employee knowledgeable of all Credit Union products and services. Assists members at all branch locations and over the phone with a variety of tasks including transactions, account servicing and loan inquiries. Cross sell Credit Union Products and services; participate in regular promotions.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:E50%

Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; sells money orders and bank checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed. Provides coverage in all branches as needed, in addition to home branch.

Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including filing, copying, data input, and answering the telephone.

Verifies and posts transactions to member accounts and maintains member and Credit Union records.

Greets members and provides routine information concerning services, and directs members to appropriate departments for specific information and service.

Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.

Cross-sells Credit Union products and services.

Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:1.Provide friendly, professional, personal, and confidential service to all members and associates.2.

Balance cash drawer daily, with no more than $10 off and with total offages not to exceed $50 in a 1 month period in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.

3.

Accurately post transactions, having fewer than 2 unresolved posting errors in a 1 day period.

4.

Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner.

5.

Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the greater benefit of the member.

6.

Ensure recovery of all critical branch functions for business contingency within recovery times set by business constraints or disaster recovery plan.

7.

Note observations of employee performance. Give and receive feedback from employee no later than 1 working day following incident, completing performance reviews within the prescribed timeframe.



Knowledge and Skills:ExperienceOne month to twelve months of similar or related experience.Education

A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills

Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.

Other Skills

General office equipment such as calculators, computers, photocopiers, and scanners. Includes the ability to operate encoding, coin counting, and cash counting machines. Basic knowledge of established teller procedures and policies. Understanding of Credit Union operations. Maintains confidentiality related to Credit Union operations and work-related information.
