Chromalloy New York, a leader in repair and coating of gas turbine components for the aerospace industry and heavy industrial turbines, is currently seeking Production Workers for 1st Shift. Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm

As a Production Worker, you will need to be able to work in a fast paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices.

This is an hourly position with Local 475. Rate of pay is $21.56/hr.

 ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use hand, power, and machine tools to facilitate the preparation, cleaning, and processes of molds, equipment, parts, assemblies, or machinery.
  • Crosstrain on operations within multiple areas
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position
  • Perform their job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow the directions identified in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE Assessments, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and all Safety Procedures and Alerts

Qualifications:

  •  HS Diploma or equivalent required
  •  You must be able to read, write and use work instruction sheets in English.  
  •  Mechanical background preferred
  •  Ability to use hand tools and gauges.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. Minimum lift floor to waist – 25 pounds
  2. Minimum lift waist to shoulder level – 25 pounds
  3. Minimum pull – 40 pounds
  4. Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a typical office environment.  The employee may also occasionally be exposed to moderate cold and moderate heat.  Exposure to the production facility includes loud noise, fumes, and moving equipment.

Due to government regulation only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.
