Job Description
Troon’s Corporate office, located in Scottsdale, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for an Accountant I! We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and advance their career within a rapidly growing organization. The Accountant I works with a team who supports various assigned entities, properties and corporate functions across the Troon enterprise with the full-cycle accounting processes. This role assists with financial reporting and gains exposure to industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with daily accounting activities, including posting transactions and maintaining accurate records.
· Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and schedules under the guidance of senior accountants.
· Perform basic reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and assist in researching variances.
· Help monitor cash activity and coordinate weekly disbursements with assigned clubs as applicable.
· Collaborate with General Managers, Operations leaders and Corporate teams to provide financial support.
· Participate in training sessions and contribute to process improvement projects.
· Developing ability to present financial information in a clear and professional manner, with opportunities to support internal discussions and occasional client-facing presentations.

Qualifications:
Experience:
Required:
· Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and M365 Suite.
· Understanding of fundamental accounting principles (GAAP).
Preferred:
· Internship or coursework in accounting or finance.
· Familiarity with accounting software (training provided).
· Interest in pursuing CPA certification.
Knowledge and Skills:
Required:
· Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude.
Preferred:
· Experience with Jonas Club Management software.
· Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
Certificates/Licenses:
· CPA Eligibility
