Key Responsibilities:  As a Mechanical Design Engineer I at Interface, you will be learning the most advanced, high performance, and sustainable design techniques from discipline leaders on multiple projects. Your duties will include (but may not be limited to):
  • Engineering/Design: Participating in the engineering and design for a wide variety of MEP building project types and sizes.
  • Teamwork: Participating as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and receiving guidance, support, task delegation, and mentorship.
  • Project Tasks: Responsible to project managers for scope, schedule, budget, and discipline coordination for assigned projects.
  • Client Management: Responsible for project task deliverables leading to client satisfaction and repeat business with assigned clients.
  • Project Financial Management: Responsible for containing project costs, working efficiently within assigned project scopes.
What You'll Bring: Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • 0 to 2 years’ experience.
  • Ability to organize your work and perform multiple functions in a fluid, multi-deadline operations tempo.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-orientated, collaborative environment.
  • Live within commuting distance of our Washington, DC office.
Preferred
  • Working Autodesk® REVIT knowledge
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards.
  • Experience with HVAC load calculations and duct sizing.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
