Title: Business Development Summer Associate

The Business Development Summer Associate is responsible for supporting and executing specific projects (generally described below) working closely with East Point’s Director of Business Development.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research on energy storage markets, customers and competitors
  • Support outreach to prospective customers and partners
  • Assist with development of value propositions and proposals
  • Create client presentations, pitch decks and other business development materials
  • Support preparation for customer meetings and presentations
  • Create Salesforce reports and dashboards for pipeline tracking and regular reporting
  • Assist with basic commercial or quantitative analyses
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather inputs for proposals and presentations
  • Support process improvements for business development tools and reporting
  • Participate in internal strategy discussions and customer calls as appropriate

Skills:

  • Interest in clean energy, energy storage or infrastructure
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate across a broad spectrum of technical understanding
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; Salesforce experience a plus
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects

Education & Experience:

  • Current MBA student
  • Experience in sales, account management or consulting
  • Experience in energy industry preferred

Travel & Time Commitment:

  • No travel required
  • Internship; 40 hours/week during our regular hours of operation, 8:30AM - 5PM (30 min unpaid lunch) 
  • 8 -10 weeks (June-August), based on candidate availability. Preference for longer commitments

East Point Energy office in Charlottesville, VA
