As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center Technician to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.   

Data Center Technician: 

The Technician will be responsible for performing structured cabling installations and server rack deployments in a data center environment. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a strong work ethic. Technical training will be provided on the job; prior experience is not required. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team under the direction of on-site Salute Leadership. 

New Albany, OH. Site Specific Information:

Our team handles a wide range of technical projects, with a primary focus on rack movements and logistical warehouse support at this site. Some projects may require additional training, such as cabling and infrastructure work.

Site Status & Initial Assignment: 
Please note that projects at the New Albany, OH site have not yet commenced, and the start date for on-site work is tentative. Candidates selected for this role will begin employment in a traveling capacity, supporting active data center projects at other locations while completing hands-on training. This initial travel assignment will continue until work at the New Albany site is ready to begin, at which point employees will transition to the local site.

Responsibilities: 

• Install, route, and secure structured cabling according to project specifications
• Assistwith server rack deployments and related hardware setup
• Follow safety protocols andcompany procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Complete tasks assigned by the Team Lead ina timelyandaccuratemanner
• Support quality assurance efforts by adhering to installation standards
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and supervisors
• Ability to follow precise instructions
• Perform material movement including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process
• Perform Data Center pre-cabling to industry standards 
• Detailed physical inventory tracking and staging 
• Timely responsiveness via MS Outlook, MS Teams, text, and/or phone 

Requirements: 

• Knowledge of how to properly utilize power tools is required
• Ability to read and understand cabling maps
• Ability to work at different heights, in confined spaces, and on different surfaces
• Ability to use mobile application technology 
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Gain proficiency in workplace IT systems for reporting, timecards, expense entry, and the execution of project tasks. Examples SalesForce, ADP, Expensify)

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs. 
• Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks
• Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies. 
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
• Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
• Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
• Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
• Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
• Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required

Travel Opportunities:

This role offers exciting travel opportunities to travel within the United States to various Data Center locations. Travel requirements will vary depending on client’s needs and project demands. Work related travel expenses, including airfare, lodging, and per diem, will be provided. Compensation & Benefits Disclosure
The hourly rate for this role is $25 per hour. This range reflects a good faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long-term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. This posted hourly rate is the final rate of pay for the position, based on job‑related factors consistent with applicable law.
