Job Summary:

  • Maintains inventory for Rehab Therapy supplies.
  • Registers patients for Rehab Therapy Services including obtaining pre-approval/certification from patient’s insurance carriers for medical procedures and makes therapy appointments for patients as warranted.
  • Answers telephones, routes callers, messages and provides routine information with courtesy, accuracy and speed.
  • Establishes, organizes, and maintains, files, information and records.
  • Schedules patient appointments for the Rehab Department.
  • Maintain clean and organized office environment (i.e. sufficient copies present of all paper documentation, charts filed, faxes sent).
  • Works with Rehab Office Coordinator with tracking and completion of Medicare requirements (MSPQ, signed plan of care).
  • Tracks and enters authorization data into Electronic Medical Record and in patient charts.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety logs of designated equipment, including whirlpools, hydrocollator and paraffin.

Hours: Full Time, Monday – Friday

Salary: $19.49 - $22.24 per hour based on experience

Requirements

Experience:

  • Experience with patient scheduling, registration and/or insurance authorization along with experience in office procurement and office management preferred.

Education:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associates Degree preferred

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical terminology
  • Multi-tasking capabilities a must
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal relationship and communication skills
  • Bi-Lingual Spanish preferred
