Career Opportunity: Maintenance Technician  Reports to: Facilities Director  Organization: The HealthCare Connection (THCC) Location: 1401 Steffen Ave Cincinnati, OH   About The HealthCare Connection:   Founded in 1967, The HealthCare Connection was Ohio’s first Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).Our mission is to provide quality and accessible primary healthcare services through community responsive approaches that address financial, geographic, and other barriers to care for residents of northern Hamilton County and surrounding areas. THCC is proudly recognized as a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), the highest level of recognition attainable for quality care.   We boast two primary care locations and 6 school-based health centers providing quality value-based care for over 20,000 patients. We provide services in Primary Care, Infectious Disease, Substance Use, Integrated Behavioral Health, Dental Services, Women’s Health, and Pharmacy.   Position Summary:   The HealthCare Connection is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician  to provide custodial services and light maintenance under the direction of our Facilities Director. This position is responsible for overall building and grounds maintenance. Apply now to learn more!     Key Responsibilities:
  • Painting
  • Basic plumbing
  • Scheduled maintenance duties (changing light bulbs, preventative care of emergency equipment, etc.)
  • Floor care, both routine (sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming) and periodic specialized care (stripping, waxing, buffing)
  • Building and grounds upkeep, including cleaning, restocking supplies, and picking up trash
  • Other reasonably related duties as assigned
  Qualifications:
  • One (1) year or more of janitorial, building, and grounds maintenance experience
  • Team player able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and adhere to Bloodborne Pathogen regulations
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and relate to persons from diverse educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Must be available for on-call work after hours, schedule adjustments, and overtime as needed
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
