Job Description
Library West Operations FWS Student Assistant
Classification Minimum Requirements:Federal Work Study Program required
Job Description:As a member of the Library West Collection Services team, the Student Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Library West. This position focuses on accurately re-shelving a high volume of circulating materials and performing essential tasks that help maintain the library’s organization and function. The Student Assistant will report directly to the Collections Services Manager and assist with various collection-related duties, including participation in specified cleaning and other projects. The Student Assistant will be expected to work no fewer than 15 hours per week, up to 25 hours per week.
Training with library software, Library of Congress classification system, and Library West policies is provided during onboarding.
Work Schedule:
During training, hours can be between Monday – Friday from 8 AM – 4 PM. Upon completion of training, work time will be available during Library West’s operational hours, to be scheduled upon hire. Hours are flexible. See Library West open hours here: https://libcal.uflib.ufl.edu/hours
Job Duties:
$14.50 /hr
