Job Description

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a 2nd Shift Assortment Maker in our Distribution Center for our Columbus, Ohio location.

Responsibilities:

  • ▪ Assembles assortments.
    ▪ Pulls empty assortment drawer from stock and affixes label
    ▪ Finds drawer with right assortment number
    ▪ Fills compartments of drawer with product
    ▪ Puts label on box when assortment is complete
    ▪ Puts assortments away on shelves
    ▪ Covers required assortments with plastic film
    ▪ Research incomplete part #’s to find out where they are before filling out a shortage sheet
    ▪ Maintains the proper and consistent placement of lid labels and Kimball-Midwest logo labels
    ▪ Notifies stock adjuster of out-of-stock situations in “A” stock
    ▪ Fills all out-oof-stock merchandise when product arrives
    ▪ Maintains the inventory count with 100% accuracy
    ▪ Visually inspects the quality of product being used for assortments by looking for defects
    ▪ Returns all products in excess of what was needed to fill assortment back to prime stock before starting next assortment
    ▪ Maintains an organized workspace

Qualifications:

  • ▪ The ability to lift objects weighing 50 pounds
  • ▪ The ability to walk and stand on concrete floors for long period of time
  • ▪ The ability to frequently bend, side bend, and twist the back
  • ▪ The ability to do occasional neck flexions and twisting while sitting, standing, or squatting
  • ▪ The ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to          understand and follow written and oral instructions
  • ▪ The successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period

Additional Information:

2:30PM-11:00PM, Monday through Friday

The pay rate is $19 per hour, plus the opportunity to earn $200 a month in bonuses.
