Basic Function

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) IT Intern will support the Company's IT organization in exploring, developing, and implementing AI and automation solutions that improve business processes, system efficiency, and user experience. This role provides hands‑on exposure to emerging AI technologies, data analysis, and enterprise IT environments while working alongside experienced IT and business professionals.

Job Duties

• Assist in the evaluation, development, and testing of AI‑based tools, models, and automation solutions
• Support data preparation, data analysis, and documentation related to AI and machine learning initiatives
• Help identify opportunities where AI, automation, or analytics can enhance IT operations or business workflows
• Participate in proof‑of‑concept projects, pilots, and technology assessments
• Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors on AI‑related initiatives
• Document processes, technical designs, and user guides
• Stay informed on emerging AI technologies, trends, and best practices
• Support general IT tasks or projects as needed (e.g., testing, reporting, system analysis)

Experience

None required.

Education Level

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.  

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, data analytics, or automation concepts
• Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as Python, SQL, R, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

The following skills and qualifications are strongly preferred:

• Coursework or hands‑on experience with machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), or data visualization
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) or AI tools/services
• Experience with low‑code/no‑code platforms or automation tools (e.g., Power Automate)
• Interest in enterprise IT, digital transformation, or human‑centered AI solutions
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies
• Collaborative team player
• Adaptability in a fast‑changing technical environment
• Ethical awareness and interest in responsible AI practices

Job conditions require sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, lifting and/or carrying up to 5lbs, pushing or pulling up to 5 lbs, climbing up to 2ft, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, perceiving color differences. Job conditions may require standing and walking.
