Job Description

*Second shift*  3pm-midnight

Major Responsibilities/Activities:


  • Clean food production room and disassemble and clean food production equipment to food-safety sanitation standards
  • Use chemicals to clean floors, walls, tables, and equipment
  • Work with chemical dispensing equipment
  • Inspect production equipment and production area to ensure readiness before start and throughout the day for handling open food ingredients
  • Actively inspect equipment and product ingredients to ensure conformance to food safety, sanitation, and quality standards. Take corrective actions as needed and communicate and document with Supervisor
  • Execute tests to ensure cleaning is complete to established guidelines
  • Work with plant services team to accomplish all cleaning in production room and production equipment, refrigerated warehouse, warehouse, office areas, restrooms and break room
  • Wear PPE’s to work safely with chemicals for purpose of sanitation in production, warehouse, and other areas of the building.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participates in safety training. Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, chemicals, tools, and PPE’s. Reports any accident, injury or unsafe condition immediately to Supervisor

Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to control the operations of equipment or systems
  • Proper lifting technique
  • Ensure compliance of self and others with cGMP’s
  • Do’s and Don’ts of working around manufacturing equipment/Lock out Tag out
  • Ability to work with Plant Hygienist or Quality Manager to study bacterial behavior in production room and other areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to speak English and Spanish highly desirable
  • Able to stand, twist and lift for 8-hour shift
  • Able to work wearing food protection gear including hairnet, lab coat, beard net if required
  • Strong ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Outstanding work ethic
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent attendance
