Job DetailsJob Location: Stone City Plant - Bryan, TX 77808Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $16.00 - $16.75 HourlyJob Shift: DayJob Summary: Responsible for installing hardware such as drawer guides, drawers, screws, and other accessories in designated areas to ensure structural integrity.   Duties and Responsibilities: Assemble various cabinet components and materials. Safely operate assigned equipment such as staple guns, drills, and drawer presses. Proficiently use a tape measure to determine sizes for parts. Maintain no more than a one-percent rejection rate per workday. Supply the sufficient amount of parts in the buffers established by the schedule. Inspect component parts prior to working on them and again after they have been machined for correct specifications. Match drawers to the adequate cabinet. Install the drawers to the adequate cabinet.   Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have mathematical skills to take measurements on cabinets and materials. Must have corrected hearing to listen to needs and instructions of managers and coworkers and listen to the environment to be aware of surroundings. Must have corrected vision to be aware of surroundings and locations of items needed. Should have knowledge of/or ability to use a tape measure, saws, drills, and other hand tools. Essential Functions of the Job:  Stands and walks up to a total of ten hours per day on a concrete surface. Lifts and carries cabinets, parts, and tools in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below, frequently and repetitively for up to ten hours a day. Bends and stoops to reach areas difficult to access. Performs twisting and rotation motions using head/neck, waist, knees, and arms while installing doors. Frequently reaches in order to attach parts and complete final assembly of cabinets. Handles drills, hand tools, hardware, and cabinet parts. Handling may be done unilaterally (one-handed) or bilaterally (two-handed) depending on the size and shape of the task being performed. Constantly uses fingers in order to attach hardware, drawers, and various parts to finished cabinets. Must be mentally alert and capable of remembering faces, names, oral instructions, and details of varying types and sizes of materials and cabinets. Must be able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in-person. Must be mentally altered and capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks. Must be able to withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental fluctuations. Must be able to work the required daily and weekly work hours as determined by the schedule. Good attendance and punctuality are necessary. Must exemplify through appearance and behavior the company’s image of excellence. Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.
